BIO Anita Zvonar is an internationally published Professional Photographer based in Toronto, Canada. She would describe her photography style as "clean with a funky edge". Her work consists of portraiture for magazines, advertisements, corporate and actor's headshots, musicians, marketing companies, record labels, along with various indie artists and creative location portraiture. Since graduating in 1998 from Ryerson Polytechnic University's prestigious Image Arts Program, she has successfully managed her own photography business. Some of her most well known clients have included "People Magazine" (New York), "Readers Digest Canada", "IBM Magazine" (USA), WestJet Airline's "Up Magazine", Hawaii's "Gemini Observatory", Germany's "Capital Magazine", Germany's "T-Systems" magazine, "SAIL Magazine", Boston, Key Porter Books, along with North American Record Labels. Anita's work is recently seen in such 2008 international print advertising campaigns as Hydroxycut, RapidSlim, and Cylaris, North America's top selling weight loss supplements. Anita has photographed such recording artists as; Coldplay, SUM41, Three Days Grace, Metric, Dandy Warhols, Dragonette, Fefe Dobson, Dresden Dolls, Esthero, Stars, Dashboard Confessional, Simple Plan, Sam Roberts, Moka Only, Glenn Lewis, Bat For Lashes, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Shawn Desman, Pocketdwellers, Maestro, Swollen Members, Ivana Santilli, The Moffatts, and many other talented independent musicians. She continues to enjoy shooting at concerts and press conferences such artists as Gwen Stefani, Maria Carey, Metallica, Weezer, Paul McCartney, Shania Twain, Velvet Revolver, Kid Rock, No Doubt, Avril Lavigne, Courtney Love and Backstreet Boys. Her work has for years been published in Chart, Canada's leading music magazine. Although her work is largely commercial based, she continues to enjoy shooting portraits for acting and corporate headshots, families and children, plus for internet dating profile photographs. She also enjoys working for such charity organizations as About Face International and The Rotary Club. Her contemporary style has appealed to a wide range of individuals over the years. In 2002, her work caught the eye of TV show producers "Behind The Lens" (Fashion Television Network). Her career and personal life experiences were featured in an episode that is still being shown today on the network. Anita's use of her trademark "funky camera angles," combined with bright colours and strong lighting, is apparent in all her work. Her ability to create a striking composition in even the most unlikely subjects and backgrounds has become admired by her clients. She excels when challenged with new shooting locations. On a personal level, Anita is recently married and is enjoying her new home with her husband just outside of Toronto. She finds her home studio useful for many of her portrait clients.
